West Mills serves both industrial operators and consumers.

We offer the food, baking and other industries diverse subcontracting services, such as the manufacture, grinding and packing of extruded products. We have divided our operations into three facilities. In the first one we carry out the pre-treatment of the grain and product development. At our second plant, we treat grain and pulse-based products thermally utilising the extrusion technology. In our third facility, we perform packing and storage.

For consumers we produce various breakfast and snack products from pristine Finnish grain. All our products carry both the Nordic Swan ecolabel and the Finnish Heart Symbol, which indicates that the product is a healthy choice. We base our manufacturing on the principle of health, which means that our products contain no preservatives or food additives and are low-salt, low-fat and low-sugar. We have been granted the FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification and the Ecocert Natural Certification for cosmetics.

West Mills is located in South Ostrobothnia, in the village of Hirvikylä in Jalasjärvi, where there is a long tradition of agriculture and food production. Our location in the middle of fields of grain is ideal also for the availability and quality of raw ingredients.
